More fun news about octomom (RTWT):
“The $564,900 question (that being the price tag on Suleman’s new digs) is: Who footed the bill for the new home? Suleman is unemployed and has been living on a combination of food stamps, disability checks, student loans and help from her parents. She has been coy in discussing her finances, saying only that the house was paid for by “opportunities” she has selected.”
This makes me ill. She clearly wasn’t disabled enough to bear eight fetuses (fetii?), so why is she getting disability (aside from her gigantic preggo belly being disabling)? And how could she afford fertility treatments with food stamps? I’m not the first one to ask this question.
The sick, sad fact is (and this is something boyfriend brought to my attention. Can’t take credit for the original idea) is that this woman is the most adapted and evolved member of our society. She has passed on her genetic material 14 times, and all 14 of her spawn are practically guaranteed to reach reproductive maturity because society (us) is going to foot the bill.
That makes me feel pretty bad about our society. Octomom exemplefies how the meek shall inherit the earth. Survival of the fittest has flown the coop. Darwin is rolling over in his grave. But what will happen when all that remains are the products of our society and there are no more fitter people to help bring up the less fit? Octomom’s children would be placed in the care of Carl’s Jr!
